Reading and Social Studies August 15-19

In Social Studies this week the students will need to be able to fill in the US Map with these Western states and their capitals:

Denver, Colorado
Honolulu, Hawaii
Boise, Idaho
Helena, Montana
Carson City, Nevada
Salem, Oregon
Salt Lake City, Utah
Olympia, Washington
Cheyenne, Wyoming
We will also be identifying parallels, meridians, longitude and latitude on the globe.

In Reading, we will start the novel: Where the Red Fern Grows, by Wilson Rawls.
